History

5 year old female neutered Kelpie with decreased appetite and hypercalcemia.

Findings

Thorax: The cardiovascular structures are normal in size and shape. No abnormalities are seen within the pulmonary parenchyma. The mediastinum is widened on the v/d projection, and is wider than the vertebral column. On the lateral projection, there is a mass visible in the cranial mediastinum with mild dorsal displacement of the trachea. The pleural space and musculoskeletal structures are normal.

• Cyst
• Ectopic thyroid tissue
